First Hair Cuts

Yes...February 15, 2011...both Abby and Joey received their first haircuts ever!  It was quite the event! I tried to catch some before and after shots...they're not the best, but you can look back and see how long Joey's hair was getting.  It was in his eyes and hung over his ears.  I was nervous to cut it because even though it was long, he didn't have much of it! lol  Plus it is so straight, I knew you were going to be able to see every little snip I made.  Pressure!  :0)  Anyway...I only made one bad snip and people didn't notice until I would point it out...  So not bad for my first time cutting my kids hair eh?

And as I layered his hair in the back a bit it seemed so much more thick than before. It was gorgeous!

Her hair took 4 years to get this length!  I was sad to cut it, but did it in hopes to help it grow better.  I didn't cut much.

Over all the cuts went well and I felt confident about cutting my kids hair for the next 12-16 yrs of their lives. LOL  I don't know if that confidence will stick around...or if they will LET me cut their hair forever...but i'm enjoying it while I have CONTROL!! :)

Abby & I both LOVE to bake!  And these Lemon Sugar Crusted Blueberry Muffins are one or our family favorites! 

Abby is getting really good in the kitchen too!  Not too long before she is cooking dinner for us every night! HA HA!

Family Party for Joey

Joey is my sweet little guy.  He is happy and full of energy...*always*! He has hit the "my" phase...so beware not to take anything from him! LOL Joey is a lot of fun and very smart.  He doesn't talk too much, but he will soon!  I love you Joseph David!

More Birthday Fun

So we got Joey this little push car/bike back on Black Friday last year...I was going to give it to him for Christmas but we decided to make it a bday present.  He loved it right off!  So did Abby!

We spread Joey's bday presents out a bit...so here they are devouring Grandma Kathy's gift! :)

Joey loves ANY kind of sweet!  He is my sugar junkie! :)  So caramel brownies were perfect!  The trick candle scared him as you can see in this little video.  (Sorry it wouldn't focus well in the very end of it.)

Bringing on the New Year...Princess Style

Boo!  My dad brought the kids their Christmas presents when he came down for New Years Partay-en!  The kids LOVED their new castle!  Thanks Daddio!
