My Mom the Graduate!

So one of the main reasons for the cabin and everyone coming together was...My awesome Mom graduated from University of Utah!  It has been years and years of hard work...working full time and going to school part time.  That is a hard schedule to live...especially for so many years.  But she did it!!!  Such a HUGE accomplishment!  I'm so proud of her!  

Since none of us could make it to her actual graduation (I don't think she even walked), we did our own re-enactment of her walking and getting her degree (her mom presented it to her!)  It was so fun!

ALL my Mom's children together to celebrate graduation (and Mom turning 50!)!  It was so much fun to be all together! (Jenny, Sadie, Sam, Mom, Amber, Pheobe & Heather) I love them all so much!

Easter Saturday

Easter for us has been split into a 2 day holiday.  I was raised this way and absolutely agreed with it 100%. So, we today, do the same thing.  We have Easter Saturday with the eggs...baskets..candy...   Then we do Easter Sunday with the real purpose of the day.  We worship our Savior and remember the resurrection.

Grandma and Grandpa Omer came from Utah and spent Easter weekend with us!  We had such a great time hanging out!  Joey is enjoying the mallow treat they brought for him!

I really don't put much candy in their baskets...but what they get...they devour! :)

Camping With the Omer Clan

Joey was our little Happy Camper! He LOVED running around in the wild with no walls to contain him getting as dirty as he possibly could. Now sleeping in a tent, in the cold was a whole different story!

We attempted swimming, but the water was too low at the lake, so we came back and read some fun books grandma had brought with her.

Saturday we all went on a hike together. It wasn't too long for adult legs, but may have pushed our kiddos a little further than they could take. It was good exercise and gorgeous scenery for sure!

I mean, check this out! Amazing! And oh how we enjoyed the shade of this crevice!

Grandma Visits are the BEST!

We had SO much fun with Mom Omer/Grandma here to visit! The kids loved getting to hang out with her for 5 whole days!! Thanks for making the trip Mom! (I look horrible in this picture, but it's one of the only group shots we took... & everyone else looks fabulous!)
