I am SO glad my kids like gutting the pumpkin!  Dave can't stand the texture and gags when he touches it.  So if I had to gutt every pumpkin for the rest of our lives...i'm not sure it would happen at all.  But the kids embrace it and gutt away! :)

Daddy does do most of the knife work though! 

Although sometimes he prefers to use his lightsabor. 

We borrowed star wars costumes from Dave's coworker and I don't think Joey or Dave set the lightsabors down once! haha!

Pumpkin Pick Up'en

We considered driving hours to a real pumpkin patch...but decided to be lazy instead.  Figured the kids are young enough to not care either way.  LOL  We won't always be able to get away with that.  Although, I have seen some pretty awesome cheap-o pumpkins from Walmart. :)

The kids love picking their very own out.  And luckily they think that the small ones are so cute and "their size"! :) Who's to argue?

They're not as cute as my kids though! LOL 

Halloween Fun

Here's the official halloween picture...we were 50's people.  I was searching for a costume idea that Abby would wear.  She is super picky these days.  A skirt that spins....she bought it!  And mega easy for my men!  This may be the last year we can get away with a family theme.  We'll see.

I usually do a big halloween dinner (to carry on my mom's tradition).  But this year I did halloween breakfast instead.  It was a hit!  

Pickin' Punkin's

We honestly tried to go to a pumpkin patch two times this year...got rained out both times.  :(  This place is the next best thing!  They deck their pumpkin stand up big time!  Abby & Joey loved picking out their own white pumpkins to paint.

They even have a little area with farm animals.  Not quite sure why yet...??  But the kids enjoy it.  

I love the chili decor in the background...30 bucks for one of those!  I think they are awesome!  Someday when we're rich i'll hang one on my porch.
