Family Hike

We decided we needed a family adventure!  Just down the road is the San Tan Mountain Regional Park with a bunch of trails and a little visitor center.  So we packed a lunch and hit the trail!

It was so nice to be outdoors together!  We need to do this more often, that's for sure!

Day Trip to Payson

                            

 A friend of ours told us of a great pic-nic spot just north of Payson, AZ right next to a stream and shaded by beautiful trees. She was so right...it was an amazing and gorgeous spot! 

The water was freezing, but felt great and was super fun to play in!  I think it was called 3rd crossing or something like that. 

Ellie was having a ball in the shade too!  She was 6 1/2 month old or so.

Air Show with Daddy

The airshow was just down the street at the Air Force Base.  We watched some of the planes from a nearby park last year, but this year, Dave really wanted to go on base.  So he took Abby & Joey and went for an adventure!  

It was a little rainy and chilly- but in the kid's and Dave's eyes, that's a PERFECT day for an outing! :)

Joey was in heaven with all the fun planes to touch and climb into!

They had the time of their lives!

Dave might have to get on here and describe some of these planes.  I haven't the slightest about them.

Kitt Peak

We tried to go to Bucklew Farms this day to pick out pumpkins, but they were closed because of mud.  So, we decided to go the last 1/2 of the way up to Kitt Peak Observatories & check it out.  It was a pretty cool little world of it's own up there on the top of the mountain. It was a beautiful day!

  (Note:  Dave dressed Joey that day...lol. Cute huh?   When I asked, Dave said something like, "But there's blue in both the shirt and shorts!?"  heehee.  I love my Man!)

I believe that is the solar telescope behind them.  We'll have to go up again and take a tour next time.  It was a fun day!

Our First ZOO Lights Adventure

It snowed at the zoo! Sorry you can barely see the snow flakes in this small version of the picture. It was fun for Abby and good prep for our Christmas vacation in Utah!

The Tucson Zoo really does a great job with their zoo lights! And for their members they have 2 nights scheduled for them only where they had hot chocolate and cookies at several locations along the path as well as musical groups singing/playing from local schools all along the path! (Maybe they do that every night? I don't know, it was our first time ever going.) It was super fun!

OktoberFest Beer Free

We had a great time dancing to some polka/country/jazz all combined music mix!

I think more people were watching us than the performers. I don't blame them...look at this kid!

Joey LOVES to dance! He does it involuntarily whenever there is music playing. He's a little tired here though.
