Omer Family Visits!

At the beginning of March the Omer family came down for Joey's baby blessing. Here's the crew minus Dad, who's taking the picture.
We had a blast together! We decided to pretty much just hang around the house instead of going out to do anything. Mom spent a lot of the time inside with Abby. What a treat for both of them!

Meanwhile, the boys spent some serious time (mostly Saturday AM) in the back yard working on the second patio area.

Grandpa Talbot was particularly useful. Without his help, we would have been virtually toolless. Grandpa single handedly repaired both the tiller and the rake.

Meanwhile, Mom did spend some time out in the garden with Abby and Arty (our monstrous artichoke plant, shown here). Amber spent some time out there too.

The crazy thing about bringing the dirt level down a couple of inches is that it's a crazy amount of work, but you can hardly tell anything's changed in the end!

And of course, the most important part of working in the yard is properly resting after (and sometimes during, or before...)

We had some fun with our new Canon Powershot camera, and Abby was always happy to act as a subject for our experiments.

For about a month we had a special treat: Uncle Mark! He was deployed here at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, so we got to have him over for dinner a couple of times.

And here's Abby torturing, I mean, taking care of Joey.

So to sum up, we had a great time!

So there!

My February Birthday Babes

When Abby was born the same week as Dave's bday, his day got a little pushed aside. I was determined not to do the same when Joey was born a couple weeks before his bday. :) I hope you felt special on your day sweetheart. We love you so much and appreciate everything you do for our family!

These silly, cheap tops were one of the first little presents Abby opened on her birthday. We couldn't get her to open any presents after that! It was quite hilarious!

She sure loved her presents given/sent to her from grandmas & grandpas from afar! Thank you everyone for your thoughtful gifts! We love you all!

For Abbies birthday we went to the Childrens Museum and they had a fun Fireman section. It was a fun day (free day at the museum too- added bonus!).

The Big Sister

She is still a little rough with Joey, but it's usually with hugs and kisses!

In her new baby-brother-is-here-dress! (the pig stick picture if from the Land of Obey collection! Who remembers the little pig with a curly tail?)

We love our BIG girl!

I just had to post this one. My brother Sam up on the wall...and just look at my little nephew River learning from him! Mwahahaha!
All of us...and yes, it was freezing out there! Thank you everyone for coming down! I know it's a long drive! But hey, how often do I have a kid eh? And how often is Mom down? I hope you know we love you all and are very grateful for all your love and support! You are the best!

Joey's First Bath

Grandma Larsen got to bath him!

He actually really liked it if we kept him covered with warm washclothes. :D
Abby of course wanted to be right there on the counter while brother was bathed!

A happy, clean boy!

Our New Little Omer Angel Boy!

A friend of mine, Sharla Palmer, came over and did a photo shoot for us. She is awesome! I mean, check out these pictures! And check out her blog if you would like to see more of her excellent work! I believe she has a link along the right called "Photography". http://www.mygratitudeattitudes.blogspot.com/

The whole fam!

I love the ones of Dave and Joseph. Watching Dave with our children makes me tear up almost every time. And it's not just because I am mega emotional right now with hormones changing and all! :D
