Getting Beaded

Dave finished his tickets to beadhood!  Woohoo!  He worked super hard to finish the goals (tickets) he set up at Wood Badge last year and this was the day they were finally able to present him with his beads.  I am very proud of him!

Doesn't he look gorgeous in his uniform.  I think he's hot!

The kids were very proud of him as well!  Quite the chore to finish tickets...TRIPLE the chore when you've got two kiddos wanting your time as well!  Nice job sweetie!  We love you!

Tucson Air Show

Dave caught some amazing pictures of the air show! Check 'em out!

We didn't go to the actual air show...we had some other things going on that day, and they only let people in until a certain time. Plus you had to park miles away and bus in or walk forever to get to it. So...we just went to a near by park. It was perfect!
Dave and the kids attempted to fly a kite for a while. There wasn't much wind, so it didn't go far, but the kids still loved chasing it around and mostly just spending time with daddy. :D

This camping chair of ours was SOOO old and worn out. So as Dave sat in it, I just heard a rrrrripp! It was simply hilarious to watch his face as he fell through. I could not stop laughing!

Then, of course, the kids piled on! :)

Dave's Almost 30!

(This is Dave posting.)

So I'm one year older! Yup, happened this year, too. Strange how that works sometimes. Amber really spoils me on these occasions, and I don't resist. So what do you get for a guy who's already got the best wife & kids possible, a good job and a wonderful, busy life?

You get him organized.
Yep, this is a genuine Circa Rolla-bind system to help me get organized in my calling. My old system wasn't working for me.

You know, after witnessing a couple of births, it's amazing to me what a Mother goes through for the child. And that's just in the first couple of minutes of their life! So it continues to astound me that Mothers, after giving so much, give us presents on the anniversaries of our birth. Shouldn't it be the other way around??

Nevertheless, my Mom sent along a metronome/tuner. Subtle hint about my music, or thoughtful gift? I'm going with the latter.

Yes, I'm a closet nerd. No, wait. I'm a public nerd. And to complete my nerd-idity, I must, at some point in my life, play Dungeons & Dragons. Amber found this starter kit on clearance. Perfect for a Birthday present, no?

But what's this?! Joey's taken to the present! Oh no! My Nerdiness has passed on to him!

So it was a happy birthday! Just a quiet, peaceful evening with two quiet, calm kids...

...who can't keep their hands to themselves. Happy Birthday, to me!

The Amazing Creator!

Here she is! My sister Pheobe not only made all of Thanksgiving dinner single handedly....

but she also makes amazingly awesome and cute things like all these bibs for the kids!
River the Pirate! "Arrrgh!"
Abby the "roll sniffer"!

Maddy the "calm and collected". Why are these names all in quotes?? I don't know! But it made you read them very carefully huh? huh?

PS- Note, these bib pictures were not taken Thanksgiving dinner...it was yet a light soup & vegis lunch to tide us over. :D
