Keep on Growing!

Here is one of our pumpkins. Yeah! It grew really fast and is still growing. And yes, it is hanging! It amazes me how strong the vines are!

We've got a few watermelons growing too! These are Dave's favorites. Isn't this baby one cute?

It's a lot bigger than it appears. I'd say it's about 7" diameter and about 12" from top to bottom.


Our artichoke suddenly sprouted an artichoke! We thought it was dying and then (after a couple weeks or so of non-attending-to-the-garden-because my morning sickness would triple in the outdoors heat) we found this lovely surprise. Now, as you can see below, it looks like the plant's leaves are dying away, but it has a beautiful purple flower right in the center of the artichoke! Weird? Yes. But very pretty and cool! We haven't researched it yet, but we think it might be the start of the "heart" of the artichoke. Wouldn't that be rad? We'll keep you posted!

When Daddy Goes Out Back with Abby to Play...

Abigail is such a Daddy's girl! And Dave is an incredible father! I love watching them play together; they have so much fun!

A 'Try NOT to Laugh' Moment

This was the first time Abby put her cereal bowl, or any bowl that she was eating from, on her head! We tried really hard not to laugh, so she wouldn't think...you know, like we were giving her positive reinforcement to do it again. But man, she's such a cutie! We're glad we got a picture snapped in time. I mean, this will have to go on her wedding video someday right?

Shortest Haircut I've Ever Had!

Although you might not be able to tell, Abby is getting more hair! Yay! This curler actually stays in (well as long as she doesn't touch it! lol)

By request I'm posting some pics of my new "do"!

It's not the best picture...but it does show just how short my hair now is! I've never had it this short-I love it! I'm still not completely used to it, however, with the heat down here, it sure has been nice to have it off my neck and back!

Liberty Park Adventure

Liberty Park, SLC is such an awesome park from my childhood! I have so many fun memories of going there! This new canal/pools/waterfall play area is new though. Abby had a blast! She would've played in the water until she dropped over in exhaustion. Luckily the park water cop kicked us out because she didn't have a plastic cover over her diaper. :( If I had only known.

We had a great day hanging out with family. (I wish I was better at remembering to take lots of pictures-sorry). We went to the Tracy Aviary there at the park which Abby LOVED! Birds galore...yes, she was in heaven! Afterwards we also went and explored the new down town library. It's way coolio!

Behind Abby is my brother Sam. Isn't he handsome!? He will be a Senior this year! GO SAM! Love you!

In front here are Roz and Adam, my sister in law and nephew. They are so awesome! We love hanging out with them! We love you guys!

Grandpa Talbot's

We had a good family get together with Dave's family in Ogden at Dave's Grandpa Talbot's house. We sure miss everyone up there!

4th of July Reunion Time

We hung out at Murray Park in SLC, UT for the 4th of July afternoon. My mom, sisters, Grandmas and Aunts and Uncles (that were in town) all met there. It was so great to see everyone and be silly together! Grandma Larsen (in the striped shirt above) was loving getting to see everyone. It had been a really long time for her!

They had a jump roping contest at the park festivities and we just couldn't get enough. We all wanted to get the double-dutch thing down again (a flash from our pasts). We bought our own ropes and had a riot jumping all night at Grandma's house. I only got a couple pictures, but isn't it a great one of Jenny catching some sweee-eet air?
